I was born in Gaziantep in 1977. I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in Gaziantep. I graduated from Çukurova Faculty of Medicine. I worked as a general practitioner in Şırnak in 2000-2001. After my successful thesis on animal experiments, I completed my specialization in 2006 and became an obstetrics and gynecology specialist. In 2006, I started my first studies at the Doğu-fertil IVF clinic in Malatya.
In 2006-2007, I served as a specialist physician and deputy chief physician at Diyarbakır Çermik State Hospital. In 2007, I was accepted to King’s College Hospital Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine by Prof. Dr. Kypros Nicolaides, who has important studies in the field of perinatology (risky pregnancies) in London. Since I always had plans to return to Gaziantep, I gave up the offers abroad and returned home. After my military service, I continued to help my patients who wanted to have children in various private hospitals in Gaziantep, especially IVF. Endoscopy operations (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy), which are intertwined with assisted reproductive techniques, have always been one of my interests. In early 2009, I increased my experience in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy with endoscopy (closed surgeries) training at Dr. Mishra Laparoscopy Hospital in India.
Again in 2009, I participated in the endoscopy trainings that started to be held for the first time in our country at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic. I had the opportunity to work with many leading international surgeons in the fields of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, especially Prof. Dr. Fatih Şendağ.
Then I continued my work in public hospitals, especially Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital, In 2011, I attended Prof. Dr. Hohl’s laparoscopy training in Baden, Switzerland. In 2012, I attended advanced gynecological operations training at Hospital of Ehingen-Donau, Kreiskrankenhaus Ehingen in Germany. Then I received single port gynecological laparoscopy training from Istituto Nazionale Tumori Regina Elena Prof. Dr. Enrico Vizza in Rome.
I helped our people to regain their health and have children with numerous laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and other operations I performed in public hospitals. I was assigned as the operating room responsible physician and obstetrician in charge. In 2013, I gained extensive knowledge and experience in Istanbul Zeynep Kamil Training and Research Hospital, which is one of the IVF centers with the highest number of patients in Turkey. In the same center, I contributed to the literature with scientific studies on in vitro fertilization and male infertility in the field of reproductive endocrinology (infertility). I have assignments as a coordinator in the establishment of the infertility and IVF center opened in Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital. In the meantime, I also took an active role in the establishment of the Umay IVF center in 2018. As a result of my academic studies, I was selected among the rising stars by the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association in 2019. I passed many foreign language exams such as the inter-university language exam and YÖKDİL exam with high scores. In March 2020, I was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor doctor. In 2021, I started working at Gaziantep liv hospital. In 2021, I attended certificate update trainings at Ankara Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology Training and Research Hospital, IVF unit.
I was also assigned to the supervision of many IVF units in our city. In IRCAD (France-Strasburg), one of the leading centers in the field of laparoscopy training, I worked on endometriosis surgery (chocolate cyst disease) in 2022. In addition, since 2022, I have been on the academic staff of Istinye University Faculty of Medicine with the title of associate professor. My studies have received / are receiving many national and international citations. I was/am a referee in many national and international scientific journals.
In order to follow the latest developments in Endoscopy, Perinatology and Reproductive Medicine – Surgery (IVF), I participated in many domestic / international congresses-symposiums as a participant, speaker or trainer. I chaired sessions in many congresses. In addition to these; I tried to contribute to the training of our specialist doctors, medical faculty students, midwives, nurses and all health personnel. The main ones are; In 2011, I organized a urogynecology workshop training for gynecologist physicians together with Prof. Dr. Akın Sivaslıoğlu at Gaziantep 75th Year Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
In 2022, I organized the live surgery course in cosmetic gynecological operations (genital aesthetics) with international participation for obstetricians at Gaziantep Liv Hospital together with Prof. Dr. Eray Çalışkan and Prof. Dr. Sevtap Hamdemir Kılıç. I made scientific contributions to the master’s theses of the doctors of the embryology (in vitro fertilization laboratory) department. I contributed to the education of students from various medical faculties in their internships at Cengiz Gökçek Maternity Hospital and was instrumental in choosing our profession. I attended the courses of our students in the department of nursing at Hasan Kalyoncu University and contributed to their thesis studies. In addition, we established the Gaziantep Midwives Association to contribute to the academic studies and education of our midwife friends and midwifery students. With our association, we have organized / are organizing meetings with participants from different departments in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and with a high number of participants.
We have conducted/are conducting multidisciplinary academic studies with my colleagues and healthcare professionals in many national and international universities, especially universities in Gaziantep.
I also tried to take part in social responsibility projects. On 30.11.2023, we ensured that the documentary film “Milk”, which is an international project and produced abroad, was watched at Gaziantep Liv Hospital for the first time in Turkey.
My hobbies include playing sports, reading books, watching science fiction movies and going on tourist trips.
I try to be with our sensitive couples with the slogan “From IVF to birth”. I do infertility – IVF treatments myself in Gaziantep, I help our couples to take their children in their arms by having their follow-up and delivery. Alternatively, I help those who want to do IVF treatment in other cities to do their examination, preparation procedures, pregnancy follow-up and births.
My goals will continue to be to continuously improve myself and help people with “the most up-to-date personalized treatments” by not leaving the light of science. Mutual sincerity, empathy, personalized quality service, satisfaction and recommendability are important elements of my success.
